The contest was held January 21, 2009 in Denver. Posters were judged according to the significance of the dissertation research topic to the field of Library and Information Studies. Her outstanding poster "Found in Translation" displayed the results of her dissertation.  Goldsmith employed a sequential explanatory design (web-based survey with follow-up interviews) within a sense-making theoretical framework to identify editors' motivations for acquiring books to translate, the barriers that they face in this task, and the resources that are available to them.
